Mage is a very powerful damage dealer. He has a roster of different spells that can deal tremendous amounts of AOE and single target damage. Having said that, his weakness is close combat with strong or multiple enemies as their HP and Defense attributes are quite low.

In ancient scrolls of The Great Library some information was uncovered about the origins of Mages:

Once when Indra was teaching Lightning Mastery in front of hundreds of his students at the Wizard Academy he summoned the great lighting, so powerful that all the city was shining as bright as it was daytime. The lightning went through him, filled him up with all the energy and light, and went back up through his hands leaving bright rune signs on his body. Then he levitated over the ground to everyone’s amusement and shock. From that day forward Indra was the most powerful Mage not only in Magic Realm but the whole SoulVerse — he became a Super Soulhero.
An energy splash of that power resonated across worlds and the demon Yama emerged from the Patala Abyss threatening the very existence of SoulVerse. Uncountable demonic and undead creatures from multiple Dark Realms were summoned to fight alongside Yama. They are known as The Horde. Indra accepted the challenge: united SoulVerse to gather an unseen force of SuperSoul Warriors to fight The Horde. To do this he forged the Sphere of Souls — an artifact of immense powers that allowed him to connect not only SoulVerse realms, but also invite all kinds of foreign SuperSouls from other realms, worlds, and metaverses. His plan to exhaust and ambush the enemy near Yama’s Dark Lair succeeded and the victory was at hand. In the final battle, Indra fought Yama fiercely and desperately causing significant damage with his lightning strikes. The victory was at hand when he finally felt that Yama was becoming weaker and weaker. Suddenly Indra couldn’t move and disappeared into Yama’s Abyss. He has fallen for Yama’s deception.
Having no one to stop him, Yama crushed the remaining SuperSoul Warriors and broke the Sphere of Souls that held SoulVerse together. Since then SoulVerse is split into several broken fragments that are only reachable by hidden portals. It is rumored that each realm contains a piece of the Sphere of Souls, but nobody is aware of their exact whereabouts. He left everbody wondering who will the next Super Soulhero be…
